The ongoing Covid-19 outbreak is already having a huge impact on small businesses throughout the UK, and we’re all still coming to terms with what this will truly mean.
Here at HITS we’re putting in place several measures to safeguard our team, the service we provide and the wider community, which I’d like to tell you about.
Looking After Our Customers
Keeping HITS up and running is our top priority, but we know many of you will be worrying about more than keeping your website up to date.
The impact on small businesses may be profound. Many of you already work from home, but for others, the prospect of increased social distancing could mean entirely new ways of working.
At HITS, we’ve always tried to support those of you working from home, whether through use of our handy webmail, remote PC access training or CMS website access at any time.
Being productive at home, while keeping in touch with each other, is going to be more important than ever so look out for more tips and advice from us very soon.
We are happy to provide details/training on remote accessing your emails or accessing your office PC to keep up with day to day workload.
A few of our customers have already closed, are working from home or have implemented additional measures to keep their staff safe at this uncertain time. We are happy to add notice/information banners, popups etc containing details on how your business is currently working/handling this outbreak.
Looking After Our Team
As of today, most HITS staff are working remotely from home. We have also cancelled all upcoming in-person meetings in favour of a phone call or video conferencing. We will also only be supporting IT issues via remote access at this time.
The next few months are going to be a difficult and uncertain time for many of us, but I want to assure you that HITS will be here to support you and your business as much as we can.
